A sign that things are gradually beginning to ease – East Suffolk Council will begin to collect large items from private householders again from next week after temporarily suspending the service to prioritise household waste and recycling collections.
The Council’s bulky waste collection service is set to return on Monday 15 March, meaning that households in East Suffolk can once again have items such as fridge freezers and sofas collected from their properties.
You will need to book the service via the ESC website here www.eastsuffolk.gov.uk/waste/waste-collection-and-disposal/bulky-waste/
The service cost is currently £45.50 for up to three items plus £15.50 for every additional item
To comply with the Government’s social distancing measure and to help keep crews and residents safe, items will need to be placed outside properties before collections, as crews will not be able to enter properties or come into contact with residents when moving bulky items.
