Easter Events In Felixstowe

If you are looking for something to do in Felixstowe over Easter – there’s plenty going on.

There will be an International Food Market in the Town Centre from Friday 14th to Monday 17th April from 10am – 7pm each day, featuring food and non-food products from all over Europe. Enjoy Greek olives, Italian cheese, French pastries, Spanish paella and much more.

On the seafront, the annual Easter Fun Fair is back, this year in a new location – the Felixstowe Beachside Events Area beside the Leisure Centre – running from Friday 14th to Monday 17th April from 11am – 10pm.

The Spa Pavilion have Easter fun for little ones. Humpty Dumpty’s Easter Eggstravaganza is on Saturday 15th April (two shows at 10.30am and 2.30pm). On Friday 21st April at 1.30pm, join the hunt for the hidden chocolate factory in Easter Bunny’s Eggs-ellent Adventure. Pre-booking essential for both shows.

Landguard Fort will re open on 1st April Date 1 April 2017 from 10am – 4pm. Join in the Easter fun, with the quiz trail around the Fort. Normal admission charges apply, plus £1.50 for a trail sheet (including a Landguard Fort pencil).

From 1st – 2nd April the 95th Rifles military re-enactment group will be demonstrating a weekend of soldiering, musketry and drill. Normal admission charges for the Fort apply.

And Felixstowe Museum will reopen on Wednesday 12th April, with a giant Easter Egg Hunt event for children. Search the Museum for the coloured eggs, then exchange them for a yummy reward! Two sessions at 12.30pm -2pm and 2.30pm – 4pm. Pre-booking essential.

The Museum will have a new 60’s corner of memorabilia and a commemoration of the centenary of the WWI bombing of Felixstowe in 1917. There is also an excellent new model on display – a Fred Olsen ferry ‘MS Bayard’ built in 1975. Children can enjoy the resident ‘Owl Trail’ with the crafty birds re-nesting in new locations for this year.

2017 opening times for the Museum are Wednesday 12th April and then Sunday 16th April to Sunday 29th October, every Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday, plus Wednesday 31st May, then every Wednesday from June to the end of September, and every Thursday during August, 12noon – 5pm  Adults £2.00. Children (5 to 16 years) 50p. Children (under 5 years) free.

Churches Together in Felixstowe will have a Good Friday Open Air Service at the Triangle Canopy on Friday 14th April from 10.45am-12noon. On Easter Sunday 16th April there is also a Easter Day Sunrise Service on the seafront outside the Town Hall at 6am to celebrate the resurrection at dawn.
