Landguard Photography Competition 2016 – The Winners

The Landguard Partnership at Felixstowe in Suffolk is proud to announce the twelve winning photographs in this year’s Landguard Photography Competition 2016.

The overall “Judges Choice” Winner is Svetlana Sewell, whose picture taken inside magnificent Landguard Fort, wins a cash prize of £50 to put towards photographic equipment.

Svetlana’s photograph was in the Structure Category.

This year’s competition attracted 58 entries over the three categories: Sea, Structure and Portraits of People. An online vote was then held on the Discover Landguard website. A record-number of 1,200 votes were cast, and from this the top four photographs in each category were selected. A panel of judges then met on Tuesday 4 October to select the overall “Judges Choice” winner.

The other winners were:

Sea Category: Justin Minns, Stephen Harper, Taylor Ness, Xavier Aaron

Structure Category: Megan Summers, Simon Bendall, Simon Collins

Portraits of People Category: Joanne Nolan, Mike Miller, Stephen Squirrel, Sue Simmons

A special presentation evening for the twelve winners will be held at Felixstowe Town Hall in early November, where the Mayor of Felixstowe, Jan Garfield will present each winner with an enlarged print of their photograph.
