If your looking for summer activities for the kids there’s something for everyone on the Landguard Peninsula with a packed programme of events and activities for all the family.
The Summer Holiday Quiz Trail is running at Landguard Fort from Monday 1st to Wednesday 31st daily from 10am – 4pm.
At Felixstowe Museum, children can meet the Landguard Queen and get knighted – at the ‘By Royal Appointment’ events on Wednesdays 3rd, 17th, 24th and 31st from 12noon – 4pm. There will also be colourful crowns to make, plus entertaining Royal Quizzes to try around the Museum.
New for 2016 is the Summer Fun Day at the Museum on Wednesday 10th from 12noon – 4pm. Enjoy fairy-tale puppet shows, go on a beachcombing walk with ‘Beach Bonkers’ and discover wildlife activities with the Suffolk Wildlife Trust. Don’t forget to bring along your favourite friend for the Teddy Bear’s Picnic, complete with squash, cupcakes and giant games to play too.
Then there is Birdwatching for Beginners event on Friday 26th at 10am. This is aimed at 7-11 year olds, and on Friday 5th at 2pm kids can join the Ranger for a Bug and Beastie Day – make a bug mask, catch a grasshopper and go pond dipping.
